Re: More Drag news

The 330 was a Canadian C body Dodge - used the Fury I interior, or as
it was sold in Canada, Savoy. I learned to drive on my father's 1965
Dodge 330 sedan, slant six with Torqueflite.

The other Canadian 1965 Dodge series were Polara 440 (Fury II), Polara
880 (Fury III) and Monaco (Sport Fury). The standard engines on the
1965 Canadian C body Plymouths and Dodges were the 225 slant six and
318 V8. You could even get a Sport Fury or Monaco convertible in
Canada with a slant six engine. The Canadian 1965 C body Dodge also
used the same front stubframe as the Fury and thus used Fury torsion
bars.

Coronets in 1965 came as Coronet, Coronet 440, and Coronet 500.  No
330 of any kind in the U.S., although I suppose some might remember
the base Coronet as a 330 as it goes well with 440. Neither Coronets
nor Belvederes were built in Canada in 1965, and they were also not
imported.   Thus Canadians had a choice of A (Valiant in two sizes) or
C (Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler) bodies but no B bodies.

The Coronet had a 2-door sedan, but no C body Dodge, American or
Canadian, offered one.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
