Thats all right, Herb. I'm used to dealing with rude, ignorant people like you. The world is full of them.

Sorry I accidently must have hit send.
If you have shift-cables confused with wires their are O rings on the cable ends that go into your case that need replacing. If it is leaking from the cable its self, I have used heat shrink tubing over the outside of it to rectify that problem.

Control Wires????? 62-65 TFs have no control wires going into them, just one wire going to the neutral start switch. Are you confused about the two shifter cables and think they are wires?

People, including the race shop's two attempts, along with some friends trying and failing a third time tells me you might be right. When I was at the shop the first time when the trans was in and the car was ready to go, the
main man looked at the car up on a rack and said nothing is leaking down low, but it is slowly dripping from somewhere up higher. When it started to really leak bad out of where the control wires go in I had to quit driving the car as it was leaking so bad
I didn't want to damage the trans. Now I might have to go out and try to find at least a new case that will fit my car. Only a '62 to '65 TF will work, or the front from one year and the back from another year. That's how the car is now. It has part '64
trans and part '65 trans. What you say makes a lot of sense. I guess we'll just have to pull it out and give it a good looking over.
Thanks a lot for the good advice,
Chick

The only reason that you might not be able to fix a 727 trans and keep it from leaking is if it is warped or cracked. I once had one that I got to hot and warped it. Took two tries at rebuilding it to figure it out/

They should call those pertronix systems "Chinese Junk" because that's what they are. Anyone running one might need a tow truck ride home.
On the other hand, I've had to have my car towed a few times because no one seems to know how to fix a leaking 727 trans anymore...even a guy who owns a big Mopar race shop.

Over the last year or so I've seen a shit load of people having nothing but trouble with these units. This leads me to ask one thing. Why do you people keep buying those pieces of crap??!! Me and my buddies up here in Saskatoon (google it)
use stock Chrysler ignition and have zero problems, except when it's just plain worn out. I just had to ask.
