Another numbers question

Hi all;

I am wondering about the date on an engine.  Thought I had a book to
tell me, (I do but finding it seems to be a problem), and also thought
I had a bookmark on the 'puter for it, but guess I was wrong on that
too.  Anyway, here's what I'm wondering about.

on the pad below the distributor,

E     383

4     14    2

             HP

On the right side of block

2468130      7

Obviously 383 High Performance;
Late 68 build ?

Thanks for any help.

I asked about Transmission numbers earlier, but still haven't been
able to dig them out.  Will get to those soon for info as well.
