I always use the B, F,M and J-body setups when I do a disc swap. Bolts right on and the parts are cheap. Grab the complete spindle assembly and combination/proportioning valve from the donor car.
The cars are getting harder to find, but they still turn up often enough at the U-Pull-it yards that I can find enough to keep a set or two around at all times.

I also swap to the late-model aluminum master cylinder with an adapter from any of the people that sell them on eBay. The Mopar Action article says use a master from a truck but I did that on my 69 Coronet and you have to STAND on the brake to stop. I used one from a Mirada with a smaller bore(1 1/32 vs. 1 1/8) for less pedal effort.
For rear brakes I look for pickups from the mid-80's and older, before they went to the 5x5 bolt pattern. It's a cheap source of 11" drum setups. Replacement parts are still easy to get.

PS: All the above applies to B-bodies only. For C-bodies, look for 73 and older cars. For A-bodies, most of the above applies, but you need to have the 73-76 disc brake upper control arms for the bigger ball joint. They seem to run $100-150/set.

Subject: disc brake conversion
I know this has been brought up before, but I can't remember the
company the makes the kit, and was wondering how good the
instructions, and how much "field engineering" is involved.
After 3 attempts to have my drum brakes fixed I've given up. Same
thing every time... after travelling about 4 miles from the shop, the
car starts shaking violently when the brakes are applied, both front
and back brakes lock up. ruining some or all of the parts (drums,
shoes and wheel cylinders)
It's got to be cheaper to do the disc conversion, then to pay for
towing and new parts every time I drive it ;)....
any bits of wisdom on the conversion to disc brakes are appreciated
