Thanks for all the help guys I appreciate it. It's hard to imagine a heat shield for that mechanical fuel pump. Everything is stock it has the metal line that runs in front of the motor up to the carb. Fires right up.... when the motors hot it takes a second to start. Usually If I just keep it cranking it'll fire. I haven't done a tune up yet since I bought it...idk if that's the problem but I hear something about gas boiling off. Maybe y'all can help me or steer me in a direction.
