Re: 1962 Newport, 300, New Yorker, 1962 Dodge 880

Yes I called them a couple of weeks ago...still not heard back. I did
find a few for sale, most of them broken (I have that) and the rest
very pitted or cracked. The cost for them is $200+ each depending on
who had them. The broken ones were cheaper, and the really pitted
ones cheaper still. Then there is the cost to have them repaired,
chromed and finished, I'm thinking at least $500 each total. However
I think that I can have reproduction ones made out of stainless steel
for about $250 per side. That would be a shinny new part, that won't
rust or pit or crack or snap apart like dry pasta, like the original
ones do. I wish I could find new ones for $250 each, I'd be very
happy.

I wonder if there is a market for them. It will cost me a lot just to
make ones for my car, but I would make at least 10 of them But they
have to be perfect or I'm not going to make them.

I just need the photos to show them so I can mail off my taillight
bezels to them.

Thanks.
Eric
