28,500 1963 Polara 500 convertibles?  Way off base!

A total of 5,676 Polara 500 hardtops and 1,580 convertibles were built
for 1963 - all in the U.S.A.   As to how many exist - who knows?
There are x number registered in the U.S., x number in Canada, x
number in other countries plus x number hiding in garages, barns and
fields all over the world.  Could be any number from 1 to 1,580.

According to Galen Govier 5 MaxWedge convertibles were built.
