Dash Removal

I need to remove my dash to repair the under dash harness. Are there any 
instructions in a manual somewhere? Or does anyone have any suggestions 
where to start. I know that as the removal progresses some of it will be 
obvious, but where is the best place to start, any special tools 
required? Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
