I just wanted to thank everyone for all the supportive messages and the suggestions, both posted to list and private emails.  And someone asked who I'm insured with, its Indiana Farm Bureau.  I've been with them for 45 years now including 33 with homeowner's insurance...I've never made a homeowner's claim of any kind before now, so I really have no experience in their performance.  I'll be pretty mad if they don't come through for me now though!

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
