What Dan says here was my first thought, but could be several things. Armature bearings or brushes could be the problem First be sure connections are clean and tight, especially on the starter...........................................MO

Assuming your battery is in good shape if the starter works fine when cold but turns over slowly when hot it's usually a sign that the starter is on it's way out. I seem to have a starter problem. My car startsright up but after awhile driving and then stopping, when I get in to startit I get this real slow sluggish turning over of the engine. I hate it. I have a 63 Ply. with a max wedge engine and stock exhaust. Any ideas? I'm going to try and put a better ground to the engine on after I mail this.. Thanks....
