Mike , we are at about a 2000 ft altitude.  I am certainly no expert, but 
lower ET at night when cooler and more air moisture than during that same 
day. Bracket racers have to lower their dial in.  Maybe it has to do with 
more air density than water burning?  I don't

low temp and low altitude means dry air.  less water in the air the
better.  last time i checked, you cannot burn water.
