check the air gap in the distributor also, takes a brass feeler gauge, if you find bad wires I would suggest fire core 50's for it

Last trip to the drag strip, I developed a miss around 2500 RPM and up. Engine seemed like it was loading up but carb looked good - floats levels are right and we changed nothing on the carb. This may have been developing for weeks and
finally showed up late in eliminations.

I'm going to replace the cap, rotor, reluctor and pick up in the distributor since they are relatively small cost items. Question is there a way to test the
ECU?


Lastly, any ideas on what (else) to check to eliminate the miss?
