Re: Darned thing won't start...

Check the Dist.  The wire coming out of the dist.  Make sure no breaks in the
wire.

Subject: Darned thing won't start...

I need a bit of help here, guys.
My '64 Polara convertible won't start(sometimes). It's a 383 with mopar
electronic ignition. It's always been a little balky, but it just refuses to go
now. Last year it got a new Evans wiring harness underhood, along with a new
distributor and box.

Sometimes it would start fine, other times I'd have to bypass the ballast
resistor.

Now, with the resistor bypassed and the coil wire pulled and grounded to a
header, it gives one spark when you turn the ket and one more when you release
the key and that's it. I swapped in another control box and no improvement. Went
over all the grounds, changed the coil and wire and still no better.

Any suggestions?
