Re: carb debate

Thanks Rich, good points - the kind of discussion I was talking about. As I want mine to be 1960's in appearance, I don't want a shiney carb as Holley and Eddy are so fond of. Before Eddy bought them out, Carter had some aftermarket AFB performance carbs (non-shiney) that I understand are identical to the current Eddys and I think max size was 750 CFM. Actually Rich, if you do some research , there are a lot of things you can do with a Holley depending on which one is selected. Howerver I believe the Eddy might give a wider range of adjustments than most any single street Holley. ( like 3310) Thats why my question--I don't know.

Rich, If I do select an AFB, I need to have you tutor me on it- what might that cost me? :-)......................MO

Obviously I mess with my Edelbrocks constantly. Always searching for the
perfect set-up. I don't know much about Holley's but to me it seems as
if the Eddy's are more adjustable and have myriads of ways to change
them. They are very simple to figure out. It seems the Holley's only
have a few adjustments available and then you have to live with it. But
really it's just preference. I have a 3310 Holley that I want to tear
apart and practice on. If I ever get a 4bl manifold I may even try it
out.

By the way, I think I have a darn good 90 degree set-up on my poly right
now! It's running good! Look out Geezers :-)
