Re: Electronic Ignition, Pertronix or Points

I cant speak for my 63 Dodge yet, as it had points before I pulled it apart to restore. But I think I will stick with points for now, as the cost of restoration is more than I had planned for (normal for most people)

But my Lincoln has pertronix and so far it has never let me down.
But having said that, the previous owner fitted it when the car was still in the US.
I have only travelled 2 to 3000 miles in the last 3 year's.

Subject: Poll: Electronic Ignition, Pertronix or Points

Reading all the threads over the last month on pertronix setup,
pertronix vs Mopar Electronic Ignition and the other pertronix threads
over the last little while.

Do you Run Mopar Electronic, Pertronix or Points??

I'm just curious how many on the list still run points like I do? Am I
the last holdout with the old prestolite dual point setup? I understand
why the conversion, hotter spark, no adjustment, etc. But I've only had
to adjust points twice since we pulled the dart out of the barn in 2001.
