Re-upholstering? ? ?

Quick question.  Give me all your various thoughts on the matter.

I am wanting to re-upholster the seats in my '65 Coronet.  

1) Is this something that I could learn to do?  

2) If I did it myself, is it something I would be able to do , where I would be pleased with the end product?

3) Are there any good instruction books, or web-sites on the topic?

4)  Would I be better off paying someone to do it?
