I was having a high temp issue with the S6, 65 Belvedere wagon (manual trans)...its all stock. I changed out the waterpump and all hoses, prof. cleaned the radiator and swapped out to a 180deg. thermostat. The last part was the stock 16" 4 blade fixed fan. I went of the junk yard, but 99.9% of the cars had clutch fans. I only have ~ 3" between the rad and the waterpump flange, and mopar clutch fans are exacty 3" deep. I needed a fixed blade fan. I looked over to an early 70 Caddy with a V8. Fixed 17", 5 blade fan. Riveted construction, similar to the typical flex fan, but it was an OEM one. I pulled it off and matched the bolt pattern to the spacer I brought for test fits. The center was perfect, the 4 bolt pattern looked ever-so-slightly off. It turns out the darn thing bolts right on as-is!!! No mods needed. I started it up and it must pull 3xs the amount of air. Tomorrows going to be in the 90 deg. range, I'll let everyone know how I made out. If its still running hot....the rad.s going to get a new core. The shop that cleaned this one said it was on its last legs. We'll see.....
