Re: trick shift fluid

Who called you an idiot or said anything about this forum being of no use? Strong words in reply to me saying that he should phone a Pro. All I refered to was that it is better to get the advise of someone who builds trannys for a living. If you feel comfortable telling a hard working guy it is safe to run that B&M crap in his stock tranny with a shift kit, go right ahead. I would feel terrible if he ruined his tranny on my advise and could not afford to redo it or had to go without his car for the summer. All I said was call someone who knows, after all, that is where he will have to take it to get fixed if it gets screwed up from listening to bad advise.

I too am in agreement with Donnie's statement.
I remember when slick 50 was the rage until motors started failing because
the teflon in slick 50 started blocking oil valleys and oil pickups.
So many l;aw suits were filed that it was taken off the shelves or not re
stocked when the supply ran out.
Try to find slick 50 now or oil additives with teflon in it.
Again this is my .02 cents worth.
I almost commented on this thread when it started but held back until now.

Each person takes things differently. If I give advise to
someone, it will hopefully not cost him a huge amount of $$$
if I am wrong. Giving someone advise on which tranny to run,
or who can build it for them, is one thing, but useing a
fluid that I have never heard any of the top tranny builders
advise, is something different. Take it how you want, but I
was just protecting this guys hard earned $$$. Are you going
to replace his tranny if this junk turns out to ruin it???
Answer that. What is wrong with telling him to call a
professional? Even though I am an engineer in the automotive
world, I AM NO TRANNY EXPERT. Most of us on these car forums
are backyard / weekend warriors. Just giving advise that
wont leave me at fault if it goes bad for this guy. I would
do the same for you. Dont take it personally, I never ment
it that way. The Carl Rosslers and Vince Janis's of this
world are not commercial vendors. They have garage shops in
small towns. They are just really, really good at what they
produce out of those small garages.

I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well

not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will
protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and
