Re: 440 Engine block ID

Stan's message is below for those who got a blank email.

(Stan: set your Yahoo mail settings to "plain text" - all the extra = and =AO characters indicate your mail is not set to plain text. Thanks.)

Does the block have three "flats" on the rear where the trans bolts up? Up =
top may be three flat spots. Thes where made up to 81 in large trucks think=
cargo trucks ,Jartran, Uhaul .=A0 These are ususally thrown away because c=
ar blocks of 76-78 vintage are thin wall, and get confused, complaining how=
"heavy" this block is.These have cylinder walls 0f 250-300 thousands think=
, very thick strong walls, a great race block.=A0 You can put your finger i=
n the block and feel the cylinder thickness. These blocks are 10 years newe=
r and usually low mileage .The 230 400 block is the same.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
