Does the block have three "flats" on the rear where the trans bolts up? Up top may be three flat spots. Thes where made up to 81 in large trucks think cargo trucks ,Jartran, Uhaul . These are ususally thrown away because car blocks of 76-78 vintage are thin wall, and get confused, complaining how "heavy" this block is.These have cylinder walls 0f 250-300 thousands think, very thick strong walls, a great race block. You can put your finger in the block and feel the cylinder thickness. I thought it was a good deal at $100. The short block is complete (minus oil pan), and it came with the heads, all of the valves - with double springs, and a single 4 intake.
