Re: Engine paint code

Many of the engine color charts online are a copy (borrow - steal?) then paste affair. If the original is wrong, the followers repeat the error, (just like a lot of no fact chain letters). :)

The one you cite below is not too bad. Note the 1964 273 red is the same as the 1968 340. But it is not clear on the poly 318 except to repeat the suggestion to use NAPA farm equipment spray paint, International-Harvester red by Martin-Semour paints, that is on the "paint" page http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/paint.html

You can call and gab with Color Correct (formerly Mopaint) -- Rob at 1-732-846-1044 and see what he says.

Let us know if you do that please.

Thanks,
Gary H.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
