Re: timeing distributor tool thingy

I am stressed again, head spinning. Mo if you need a timing light I will send you one..if you don't need one.. try Richs duct tape idea. Timing lite is kinda a 2010 thingee.

OK, OK, here we go again. How about some duct tape with markings around
the dist with a homemade pointer off the hold-down screw or ???
You can use tape you removed around your head:-)

Years ago there was available, a plate attached to a larger hose clamp .
The
plate had degrees marked on it , before and after a center 0 mark. You
attached this device to your dist cap with the hose clamp near the base
of
the cap. Then there was a pointer that you mounted somewhere
stationary.
Set your timeing to zero and alighn the pointer to Zero on the attached
plate. The ideah was to be able to adjust your timeing approximatly ,
without using a timeing light. I'm thinking that would be a quick-easy
way
to set your timeing at different places till you get the prformance you
want
, and then you can see with a timeing light just what actual timing is.
Does
anyone remember those and where could I get one? A Summit search came
up
with nothing, but I am a bad
searcher..................................MO
