I just purchased the Kwik Lift that uses no hydraulics and raises the car approx. 36" off the ground so one can work more relaxed on a reclining creeper (adjustable back support). Safer than the full action/height hyd. lifts and poses no garage height issues.

Steven, Part of the joys of getting "older and wiser"I am beginning to wonder if I have another vehicle in me without first investing in a lift. 10 minutes to get down on the creeper, 15 more to get under the car, 30 minutes to get out from under the car, off the creeper and over to the tool box to get the wrench I forgot.Still having fun! In my younger days I could sit atthe wheel, tuck my legs up and spin down under the dash. Tried that on the'64 recently and realized that a) I can no longer tuck my legs up close, and, b) my torso no longer fits between the steering wheel and the seat. I finally weaseled my way down onto the floor, finished what I was doing, and came to the sickening realization that I wasn't getting out of there withouthelp. Fortunately my daughter happened by and saw me struggling like an overturned turtle. There's not much I miss about being 18 but that's right up at the top of thelist! It was easy! Except that I thought I'd have to do the "Help I've fallen and can't get up" call when I tried to get out of the car after laying on my back! Whew, I made it. Anyway I wish i had taken it out before I did the wire harness. It opens up the dash underneathreally awesome. I could hide some nitrous there :-) Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara 4dr 318poly w/goodies ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person --directly to that person.
