I don't have the codes for the top line Dave but for the Bottom line it's: SO - 1224 Dec. 24th 1963 (build date) NUMBER - 0498 (production sequence) BDY - 322 Belvedere 8 Cyl 2 dr. hardtop coupe TRM - Can't find an M10 but Dooner is right that M1Q is Turquoise PNT - W White L TurquoiseThis is from an old book that I have "Catalog of American Car ID Numbers 1960-1969"
Hope this helps, Dan----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave64" <lt7dave@xxxxxxxxx>

Top Line: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZ 5 1 1 38(I might have the 3 and 8 off - my notes show them under NP, but that may be wrong - is there supposed to be an O?)
Bottom Line: SO Number BDY TRM PNT 1224 0498 322 M10 WLHere's my belief of what the bottom ones mean (I forget what the top ones were).
Build date: Dec 24,1963TRM: Turquoise interior - maybe cloth seats? As Dooner pointed out, the 0 maybe is supposed to be a Q - I need to re-check that on the car.
PNT: Two Tone Paint: Dark Turquoise Metallic with White TopIf I remember right, some of the other numbers confirmed that it's a Belvedere, V-8, 2 door hard top, and maybe the price class?
I wish I could remember where I pieced this all together from! I think it was the Auto Hobby Digest.
Thanks for the help. Dave --- On Fri, 1/15/10, Dan McCormack <mcwheels@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:

I've been searching for them and haven't found much of anything for '64. At one time I found some of them, but I can't lay my hands on them anymore, and I don't remember where I saw them. > > Thanks, > Dave > '64 Belvedere >
