Mike you might be using 1964 codes for your 65 cars according to the book I have.
1965 Plymouth Vin: V=Valiant 8 CYL 8=Barracuda 5=1965 5=LA assembly plant 1965 Dodge Vin: 4=Coronet 6 CYL 3=Coronet 440 5=1965 1=??? It just lists Detroit for assembly plants 1, 2 or 3. Does this make sense? Dan----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike and Linda Andrusiewicz" <miclinmopar@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I have 2 question on my 65 cars. Both are the early 10 digit VINs, both with clean titles and fender tags.Vehicle 1: 1965 Barracuda Formula S (I have the original window sticker too!)VIN: V8551xxxxxThe 10 digit sequence is: Line , Price Class , Year , Plant , 6 digit sequence. The VIN indicates: Valiant 8 cyl., Taxi, 1965, LA plant, 1xxxxx (100001 is the start at LA)There is no Line code for the Barracuda....so the Valiant tag is OK. but Taxi???Vehicle 2: 1965 Dodge Coronet 6cyl, 3 spd. 2 dr. Hdtp. VIN: 43512xxxxxThe VIN indicates: Dodge 6 cyl. 117 WB, Med price class, 1965, "1" indicates "Plymouth from Lynch Rd", 2xxxxx sequence.I would have thought the 4 digit should be a "2" indicating "Dodge from Hamtrack".Anyone shed any light??? thanks Mike
