Ok Rich here is a thought for  you, take your spedo apart and put new  
numbers on the gauge to match the pointer,,,,,,use of a gps is all it would take 
 to mark it out,,,

I was just wondering if a cone shaped shaft could be  installed behind 
the speedo with a small wheel on the end of the speedo  cable to contact 
it. Then by moving the cable in or out it would be  possible to alter the 
reading. Maybe have a knob with a lock to adjust it.  You'd just need to 
drive down the freeway at 60mph and check your time for  1 minute at each 
mile marker and adjust accordingly. Come on, somebody  invent it :-)
