Mark, I'm glad the damage was not that great. If the window gasket doesn't work for you because it's to a hardtop and you have to get a new one contact me off list as I would be willing to buy the one for the Hardtop and help offset your cost in being one for the Vert.. Overnight, one of the uprights pushed through the canvas covering. Since it's toast anyway, I cut a few small holes in it to let out the water. Then I pulled the GF's truck up next to the garage and stood on the hood and shoveled away. Once I got the weight off, I was able to push the crossbars up a bit to get the car clear. It looks like we can salvage it for the short term but putting in some bracing. The car needs a windshield and the speaker grille got pushed in a hair. Got away pretty light compared to some folks here. One lady lost three cars when the carport attached to her house dropped. I'm told a lot of folks lost these type shelters to this storm. here's an updated pic: http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/21824735 You can see how the pipes actually tore at their joints. A couple people mentioned insurance. No insurance on this one, unfortunately. Actually, I haven't even gotten around to putting it into my name. I drove all summer and fall on the previous owners tags and registration-with his blessing. Since I stopped driving it, I've been too poor. Is there a difference between a hardtop windshield gasket and convertible? I have a hardtop one brand new.
