It is starting to get cold, I don't need the heater but I really need to get the defroster going. I have never had the heater connected in the car, I have a couple of questions: How do I replace the heater control valve if I need to? I looked in the manual and most of the section on the heater discussed the A/C that I don't have. All I see is the heater valve in a 90 degree pipe going into the heater box through a cover with a couple of screws. Second question, are the heater control valves still available? Last question, will the heater box come out without removing the dash? I have no idea what the condition of the heater core is and would like to check it and inspect the heater box if I can get it out. Again the manual was not much help.
