426 Max Wedge blocks I believe are notched at the top of the bore and have 1/2" oil pick up tube from factory.

Only in the casting numbers I believe. As far as building a max using a single 4 block, no difference that I know of. The heads were the biggest difference. Big Don would be the man to confirm this one.

Maybe someone can help me out. I have a bet with a friend of mine, who says that a 426 bare block is different than a 426 Max Wedge block, I say they are the same block, but with different components in it..Anybody help on this....
