Re: trans questions




Currently running?a 496 inch stroker big block with an A990 modified '65 trans. Problem is that the trans case cracked and leaks. Gonna detune the setup and street drive. Thought that one of the available cable shifters might fit the original console. Not really looking for anything other than a nice streetable hot rod.

Was your car a big block, small block or /6 originally? I assume it may 
be a poly? If so Schumachers is the place to go. They have the 
conversion brackets. They run in the mid $100 range. They also have good 
mounts. The new ones are called poly-locks I believe. Whatever your 
application needs I'm sure they have it.
