Re: 65 Satellite, Lower steering column

NO. It is a rubber doughnut that attaches to the plate and the steering
column slides through. When angled it seals tight.

That's correct, I have the two plates with new foam. Thing is, there is
nothing to fit around the column jacket?at the point where it crosses though
the firewall. I found eBay # 120377536576 not sure if it's what I need or if
it will fit.

Hey Ya'll

I installed a lower steering column seal today and it looks like I'm missing
a
part.?I think ?I'm missing a lower steering column cover/shield, the part
that
seals the lower column at the firewall. The previous owners appears to have
jury
rigged a seal and jammed it into the hole the column goes through. I don't
see
how the seal I have is supposed to secure itself-do I glue it, maybe the
cover
if I find one, has something that keeps this seal in place? I hope I did'nt
screw this up. I redid the steering coupler three times already. Any help is
greatly appreciated, Thanks!
