Re: air cleaner help

Actually i ment the one nut on the side of the air cleaner that tightens around the carb, sorry. Another quick question would a 22bl card air cleaner from a slant six fit on a 2bbl for a 318 poly. if so does anyone have a spare? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Doug Daniel" <dougdaniel50@xxxxxxxxx>

If there's enough room, two nuts tightened together at the
top of the stud, and back it out of the carb using the
bottom nut. That way, if its the wing-nut thats
stripped, it can be cut off and you can still use the stud.

Else, if planning to replace the stud, or you know the stud
is stripped, vice grips work just fine.

put it on last i tighten the wing nut too tight. No it's
stripped, is there an easir way than taking the carb off?

a crome one.
