three or four pieces of chain with one hook on it makes an easy and quickly 
 adjustable tie down point when using trailer with the stake pockets on  
them

For a quick fix on mine, I put short lengths of 5/16"  chain around front 
corners of the "guard" across the front of the trailer, and  the same around 
the rearmost stake boxes on each side.  These provide a  point to put the 
hooks of the straps, can be moved, cause no  problems.
