I decided to order the TTI 2.5" dual exhaust system to upgrade my '64 Dodge Polara 500 383 2bbl.'s original single exhaust. I have the original stock exhaust manifolds and it all fit fine, except for the H-pipe crossover section. It seems they engineered it so the crosspipe is exactly where the yoke and cables are for the emergency brake (wonder if I should let them know of this design flaw?). So it was remove the emergency brake or take it to a muffler shop for fab and welding around it. I did the later, it sounds great and runs much better. I am now trying to decide about replacing the stock 2 bbl. with an Edelbrock Performer (non-high rise, since I want to use the original stock air cleaner and throttle/tranny kickdown linkage) 4 bbl setup. How much work is that and will it make much difference in power? I have factory A/C, otherwise not much problem with the 8 bolts holding the manifold. Thanks for any advice.
