Thanks John, that helps a little bit, But I am wondering what the boxes 
actually do? Do they control advance- thereby eliminating the advance 
mechanism in the distributor?
My sneaky Pete plan for my 64 Dodge is to run a stock appearing early 
distributor  with a Pertronix electronic conversion inside, and a hidden MSD 
box--If that will work.  This is my first venture with a Mopar ignition 
except for my early Hemi with Pertronix.  I am not just idle dreaming, I 
build my projects  on paper quite a ways befor actually doing the work. That 
saves a lot of "do-overs" New roads for me to travel with this project, and 
I an having SOME FUN NOW!  :-)  ..............MO......sw  iowa
