I have a bit of a mystery with my 64 plymouth cuda. The book i have ," the cars and parts Magazine" numbers book shows that there was no gold offered in 1964 on the plymouth barracuda, there was in the dodge dart though. I have checked the numbers and i know its a 64 but heres the VIN anyhoo.-V4 427 11039 I am sure the gold is factory on this car, its everywhere, right into the tiniest nook. The paint code says AAA Its also strange because it doesnt have the" Barracuda by Valiant" badge on the trunk lid, like 64s are supposed to. wondered if it might not just be a very late 64. although it does have the 64 dash gauge cluster. The gold offered on the cudas in 1965 is called Gold Poly and it really doesnt look much like the gold on the car, in fact the gold on the car looks just like the gold on my 64 polara did, which was called anniversary gold, but as I said , my book shows no offering for gold in 64 cudas or valiants. neal zimmerman, eugene oregon
