This mechanic worked professionally for over 40 years without it. I use a 
piece of rubber tube and a good pair of vice grips to remove torsion bars. 
The Rubber tube prevents marking the  bar.

Got my new torsion bars for my '64 Sport Fury and I am in the process of 
finding a shop to install these and a new front end kit.
The "1964 Plymouth Service Technical Manual" mentions tool C-3728 for 
removing the torsion bars.  Do I need this tool or is there a work around?
Also, do I need new lock rings and balloon seals for the reinstall?
Is there any info I need to pass onto the mechanic for the removal and 
installation of these?  I want to have everything the mechanic needs to get 
this job done properly the first time.
