Buying the history of the car is part of it, but the car itself is unbelieveably rare -
It's an original, factory aluminum-nose hardtop. Look at the mileage - 1/4 mile at a time. To find an original, factory racecar that hasn't been modified to death or cut to hell over the last 46 years is almost unheard of today. Hell, these cars were hen's teeth the day they rolled off the assembly line.
Of course, I can't afford the bumper brackets from this car. But if you got it for the current bid price, it would be a STEAL, even in todays market. I wouldn't be surprised to see it hit 50, 60, $70,000 or more. And way more than that two years ago...
