RE: MAX WEDGE VICTOR HEADS

Bob,

This summer I replaced my stock air filters with K&N filters and it
raised the top of my air cleaners approximatley 1/8", it cleared. I then
tried 1/4" gaskets under my carbs for heat insulation, no good.

My hood has all the hood framing cut out and contact was made on the
engine's left front edge air cleaner. I just used some shaving cream on
the top of the air cleaner and slowly came down with the hood.

So there was far less than the 1" you're looking for.
