Whoa! Don't set it at .002" but setting plus .002". They could be 
slightly open all the time after it warms up if you set it at .002". The 
specs for my poly with Gary P's hot street cam was .014" for both intake 
and exhaust with a cold engine. I'd think your cam should have come with 
a spec for the correct setting.
