Hi Colin.
Not a fun thing to do. Hopefully it is in an accessible spot. I've had the best luck with drilling it out with left handed drill bits and an angle headed drill. Make sure they're sharp. The heat generated by drilling the stud will usually be enough to walk it out but if not, after drilling a hole through the broken stud I heat the area around it and then use a conventional easy out. i broke off an exhaust stud flush with the head while removing the headers from my 383 belv conv. whats the best way to get it out without removing the head?
