It's an LA small block, but you're still right.  Since it's only got 
40,000 miles, I see it as a solid engine as is.  I'm reluctant to tear 
it too far apart, and waste its value.  But--I plan on a timing chain 
upgrade no matter what, so I'm starting to lean towards a new cam and 
lifter package, with a four barrel.  Fun on the cheap!
