Re: Drum Brake Noises



Actually, I only notice this after the brakes are warmed up...and I
have the big spring around both drums. I have NEVER noticed any
chattering when cold. I notice it most after I've been out driving,
and i come home to put it back in the garage. It sounds more like
squealing metal to metal...not necessarily grinding, but it does some
of that too. But when I pull the drums and clean all the dust out (and
they don't look very dusty), it's gone for ~2-3 trips...then it's
right back again. I'm thinking it's solely the dust since it has no
place to go...dunno. I guess it's just more motivation to get my front
disc setup on the car!
