I recall seeing two different types of levers, one was more straight, the other had a dog leg shape to it. both styles seemed to work in my car. I never measured the reach of each style.? I have one or two extra fuel pumps stashed in the garage somewhere if you want me to check?

I went to Rockauto and looked up a pump for a 66 318 and a 70 and they are the same part number. and as I said before, I've done it to my car.-------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Gary H." <spigot2039@xxxxxxxxxxx>I have a friend who told me he found small block fuel pumps with different length's levers in his parts stash. I can't remember if he said the length was so significant to prevent interchange. I'll ask him next time I see him.Gary H. ----Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
