Here is a link to the lemans project with video. The guy who runs the car is a former list member from Europe. Like the oher post said. a 64 is not all that diffferent than a charger etc. I remember by the way back in the days when stock cars were made from real cars and not just tube and tin that richard petty won the riverside road race in calif with a time that was over one second faster than the sports car class which was won by a Shelby cobra. No wonder Shelby has a bad heart!
If you are serious I can give you the build on the b series 400 the lemans car uses. it has stood three years of abuse in practice and driver training and at last report was still running fine. Last report said (Dein motuer ist eben jetzt in "top form" rennen) I dont know haw many miles but from what i hear it is lots and lots. The shop who looks after it wrings it out every chance they get too. With road racing finishing is just as important as power. Might be a real fun project.
