 I am sorry but I dont get it I have had two diffferent sure griops in this 63 ans wel ias my previous one. Changed nothing. Heard all the stuff on here so whe I had the pot out I measure the slacer for the original  open rear end and the one in the cone type unit. EXACTLY the c same. Not even a shim change required. I just i did it two weeks ago. Still fresh in my mind.
