Poly swap to a 318LA?

One of the guys on the Dodge Charger site is asking whether a 318 Poly 
engine will drop in his '69 Charger to replace his 318 LA engine.  He 
would also like to know whether the Poly will bolt up to his 904 
transmission in the '69.  Can anyone help answer these questions?
