The differentiation is Stage I vs. Stage II.  There were many more 63
Polara 500 with Stage I.  Stage II engine came later in the year and
DD differentiates between the two.  1 of 7 63 Polara 500 with Stage II
Ramcharger is correct.  The Polara 500 was the top of the line model,
so fewer were ordered.  The real drag racers were ordering the lighter
cheaper models.  Note that DD groups by model and engine type, not by
color or tranny.  I agree with this designation; it's what separates a
Hemi from a slant 6.  I can also see grouping into manual vs.
automatic.  But in my mind everything else is irrelevant.
