Radio Delete

I have the large chrome plastic radio delete plate for my '65 Coronet 500. I think that it is the same for the 440 model. Over the years, someone drilled four holes in it to mount it. I am sure that is not correct as the steel dash does not have corresponding holes.?Can anybody tell me how the plate is supposed to mount? There is nothing obvious. Other than the four drilled holes, it appears to be unmodified.
