manu ifold mods

I was racing at the time so i was unconcerned about street manners. I think the 318 dual quad does not suffer flow in anyway where as the 440 dual quad was about at its limit. The mod I did was not much different from the Vanke street hemi intake mods of the late sixties. I dont think personanlly the poly can put that much demand on the manifold. Just my opinion. Speaking of polys and 2x4s I have found many of the intakes have carb studs so long they are hanging down inside the maniflild 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. The is is a major distruption and i would recommend checking and making sure nothing is hanging down insIde.
So bottom line if it was my 2x4 poly would I modify the manifold for street mostly use. In truth, probably not.
